How to install SpaceJump

Two ways to get SpaceJump running: a direct download, or one line in Homebrew. Both take under a minute, and both start with a 14-day free trial. Pick whichever you prefer.

Direct download, step by step

1. Click Download SpaceJump free above to get the .dmg.
2. Open the downloaded SpaceJump.dmg from your Downloads.
3. Drag SpaceJump into your Applications folder.
4. Launch it from Applications. SpaceJump appears in your menu bar.
5. Grant Accessibility access when prompted, so it can name and switch your Spaces.

Install with Homebrew

SpaceJump is in the official Homebrew Cask repository. If you already have Homebrew installed, one command does it:

brew install --cask spacejump

Homebrew downloads the latest version, installs it to Applications, and handles updates. To update later, run brew upgrade --cask spacejump. To remove it, run brew uninstall --cask spacejump.

First launch and permissions

On first launch, macOS asks for Accessibility access. SpaceJump needs it to read and switch your Spaces and to show your names in the menu bar and Mission Control. Grant it in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility, then toggle SpaceJump on.

That is the only permission it needs. SpaceJump does not require network access and never captures the contents of your screen.

System requirements

• macOS 13 (Ventura) or later
• Apple Silicon or Intel Mac
• Works with the built-in Mission Control and Spaces, nothing else to set up
